Some days have been beautiful, but others have been bitterly cold, as if winter were still here. Some of the buds on the trees have suffered because of the inclement weather, but each day there are more green lawns and more spring flowers blossoming. blos-soming. Spring has also brought a great surge of work as citizens have endeavored to cleanup and fixup. Spring has brought a definite desire to do thing's to keep up the feeling of community pride. Arvella Henrie is one of the citizens who has been going the extra mile to make her yard look like a great West Bountiful Bounti-ful yard. She and her neighbor, Barbara Pack, had, a fun race seeing who could get rid of the most weeds from the middle of their peony fence which divides di-vides their yards. Arvell enjoyed a visit from her sister-in-law, Susie Buston of Preston, Ida., recently. She was accompanied by her daughter. Last Sunday, Arvella Arvel-la journeyed to Taylorville to attend the birthday party of a great-granddaughter. The Eugene Krerner family celebrated the birthday of their Indian son, Arnold Murphy, last Saturday. They are also proud that their son David is now an Eagle Scout. The West Bountiful First Ward Relief Society party will be held on April 30. The Charles Evans hosted an Easter dinner and egg hunt on Easter. Ruby's brother Lloyd and his two daughters were among the guests. Lloyd's wife was in the hospital hospit-al with a new baby boy, which added much joy to the occasion. occa-sion. Ruby's sister, Lucille Taylor and husband Everett and four children were also in the party, as were Ruby's folks Seldon and Dee were happy to help with the entertainment. Debbie is happy to be living back home. The John Gary Petersons have enjoyed entertaining Ann's father John Tally of Clo-vis, Clo-vis, New Mexico. Grandpa visited vi-sited in West Bountiful and with Ann's sisters in Salt Lake City. Neil Dennis, son of the Payton Dennises, and Laurie Nielson, daughter of Nadine and James Nielson, had an exciting ex-citing time as they represented Centerville Jr. High at the State Science Fair in Ogden. Neil's project was an electric elec-tric motor, while Laurie's project pro-ject was on "How Do Drugs Affect Plants." Denise Dennis and other parents pa-rents attended the science fair and enjoyed the banquet and awards assembly. We arc sorry to learn that Bob Freestone has been hospitalized hos-pitalized in the intensive care section of the Lakeview Hospital Hos-pital in Bountiful. It is hoped that he will recover quickly.
