Show March Bride The Manti Temple was the setting for the wedding of Mit-zie Mit-zie Peterson and Kirk Rasmus-sen-on March 28, 1980. THE BRIDE is the daughter of Dr. Carl and Mitzie Peterson, Peter-son, formerly of Farmington. The groom is the son of Rodney Rod-ney and Eunice Rasmussen of Salina, Utah. A wedding breakfast was held in Salina following the 1 1 a.m. wedding ceemony. The reception was held in the Salina Sali-na First Ward LDS Chapel that evening. THE BRIDE wore a high waisted pleated gown with a train. The neckline was Elizabethan Eli-zabethan and lace covered the bodice and sleeves. The soft and simple veil fell about waist length. She held a bouquet of peach colored silk roses with bluebells and brown leaves. The maid of honor was Lisa Wood, with bridesmaids Rachel Peterson, Karstin Quist, Laura Coleman, Dixie Rasmussen, Liz Quist, Katherine Quist and Shiela Rasmussen. The flower girl was Amanda Wahlen. I ALL OF the girls wore knee-length knee-length peach colored dresses with full sleeves, ruffled collar, blouson bodice, and full skirt. They each held a single peach colored rose and wore a peach rose in their hair. The best man was Craig Rasmussen. brother of the groom, and Dwight Bastian was an usher. A PRENUPTIAL party was given by Yvonne Quist, an aunt of the bride. The bride attended Davis High School where she was in the symphonic and marching bands. She toured Europe with the Northern Utah Honor Band in 1976. She attended the U.ofU. BYU and Snow College. Col-lege. THE GROOM attended Snow College and fulfilled an LDS mission to Oklahoma. After a honeymoon to southern Utah, the new couple will make their home in Salina. A reception in Salt Lake City will be on April 4 from 7:30-9:30 7:30-9:30 at the Monument Park 17th Ward, 2795 Crestvicw Drive. 1 |
