ONLY 4 percent of the census cen-sus forms that were sent out in Davis County have been re turned so far, says Haun. Davis County will probably hold the distinction of being the worst county in the state for returning ilie forms, he adds. The Bureau of the Census sent out a total of 40,677 census cen-sus forms in Davis County, but ' as of this w eek there have only been 18.032 of the forms returned. THE LARGE number of forms that have not been returned re-turned could cost the county a large amount of money as well as the taxpayer in general. It is estimated to cost the taxpayers an additional $4 for every unre-turned unre-turned form. This is because it will be necessary for census takers to go out to each residence resi-dence that has not reported and take the count, says Haun. Based on that rate it could cost an additional $90,556 to finish the 1980 census in Davis County. THE STATE of Utah as a w hole is ahead of the national average of 82 percent. Utah has had an 84 percent overall return rate, which is considered consi-dered very good, Haun pointed out.
