Show Heads SUSC Drama Club Jan Frasier, daughter of Ralph and Joyce Frasier, Bountiful, has been elected president of the drama club at Southern Utah State College at Cedar City. Jan, a senior majoring in theatre and communications, com-munications, is a 1977 high honors graduate from Viewmont View-mont High School, where she was also active in theatre, speech and debate. WHILE AT SUSC she has participated in several theatre productions, appearing appear-ing in "A Doll's House," "Night of the Naughty Nineties," Nine-ties," and "An Evening with Samuel Beckett." In addition to her on-stage work she has also been busy backstage as assistant stage manager and lighting director on other productions. Jan has a major role in the SUSC current production of the Broadway musical hit, "Working," which will be presented Nov. 8, 9 and 10 at the southern Utah school. SUSC is fortunate to be one of the first regional theatres to perform this work outside of New York City. : ;V . ' x , . . I ' JAN FRASIER AS DRAMA Club president, Jan, who plans to teach drama on a secondary level, will oversee such activities as the annual Christmas Hall of Trees, season ticket sales for all SUSC theatre productions and the biannual theatre trip, which will be to New York City in March. ft is traditional for the SUSC Theatre Department to take a major trip every two years, alternating between New York City and London. In this way students will be able to sample the best of both British and "American theatre, while working toward a four-year degree. |
