Show Mental Evaluations Along With Jail Time FARMINGTON - Three months of jail which will include continuous mental evaluations has been ordered by Second District Judge J. Duffy Palmer of two men convicted of burglary in connection con-nection with the theft of valuable silver coins. THE DEFENDANTS - Delbert Howard Jaques, 21, and Jeffry Spencer, 22, both of 275 East 200 North, Boun-' Boun-' -tiful were given the jail .- sentence last Thursday. Judge Palmer also ordered Ithat the pair be placed in a halfway house following the three months of incarceration and evaluations and that they be required to find jobs. THE TWO men pleaded guilty in August to theft of nearly 600 uncirculated silver coins with an estimated value of $400 each two cars, two television sets, jewelry and other items from the home of Keith Jaques, Bountiful, Boun-tiful, father of one of the defendants. Judge Palmer said there are conflicts in the testimony and information surrounding the case and that while some of the property has been recovered, other items including the coins have never been recovered. |
