Show Brigham City May Lauds S. Studdart In reading the recent results of the Primary Election Elec-tion in Bountiful, I couldn't help but notice that Stephen M. Studdert was successful in a primary campaign. I WANT you to know that my purpose in writing is solely to express my experience in working with Mr. Studdert. When I first became involved in local politics, I became a member of the Brigham City Council. One of the first major projects undertaken was the reorganization of our Brigham City Police Department. Depart-ment. Steve Studdert became our chief of police, and did an outstanding job in that capacity. It was quite disappointing to our city council when Steve left Brigham City to work for President Gerald Ford in the White House. However, we certainly could understand his desire to have that type of an experience. WHAT I am saying is that if Steve is successful in his campaign, he will be a very strong member of your city council, and will be an individual in-dividual that you as citizens can work with and expect cooperation from. Steve is an energetic person, to say the least, and has many ideas that I am sure would be of interest to the Bountiful City Council. I am not acting as a campaign cam-paign chairman for Steve, but I as a mayor wonder how an individual would be '' with if he or s ' become a memW "; council. If Steve)" can be assured iW; be a person mil"1. . could work and p-fully. p-fully. Mayor Pewt-J;. Bright1 |
