Show tilted ioagGHflufftm! By ALICE MITCHELL 295-1156 This week was a great one for the farmers who had been hoping for some rain to give moisture to the parched earth. They were overjoyed to have the rain and the sleet, even though it meant that winter was close behind. The rain and everything did not dampen the desires of the deer hunters or the duck hunters either. . Lynn Venter and friends joined the chase for the fleet-footed fleet-footed animals. The Eugene Kremers went hunting at Grouse Creek. Last weekend they went fishing in East Canyon and got a good catch. The whole family remembers the big birthday party given to Mike and Curt the last of September. The party was held at Mueller's Park and there the family picnicked and played ball. Robert and Lon Child went hunting at the Eagle Ranch. Brandt and Evan joined them the last day. But the most important thing to Robert is the fact that he and his wife Dawn are the parents of a new baby girl to be called Alexis Breck. Daughter Betty Lue is engaged to Jay Haskin of Hunter. They are planning on being married some time this winter. Ray Fallows underwent surgery as a metal splinter in his eye was removed. Dianna and Roger Meikle moved out of the area and Scott and Laurie Thorton are planning on moving into their former home in the Fifth Ward. Laurie is an associate editor of the Children's Friend. Mark Hepworth has been trying to get better after an infected knee. Jozet Miller has been absent from school all week with a case of pneumonia, but is improving. |
