Show ' ' MARVIN OWEN HAWS Monday service honors Owen Haws Marvin Owen Haws, 59, of Vernal died at his home Friday, Jan. 1, 1982. He was born Sept. 3, 1922 in Vernal to Owen Alonzo and Eva Viola Manwaring Haws. He was retired from the Utah State Engineer office. He was a member of the Vernal 4th Ward and former member of the Moose Lodge. Survivors are brothers and sister, Irvin A. Haws of Vernal, Hollis Haws of Vernal, and Mrs. Lawrence (Venna) Bascom of Midvale, Utah. Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 4 at the Vernal Thomson's Mortuary. Bishop John Lent officiated, "In the Garden" was sung by Becky Jackson, Loye Ann Manwaring and Cyndie Fountaine, accompanied by Venna Bascom. Ashel Haws gave the invocation. in-vocation. Bishop Lent gave some remarks and Venna Bascom played an organ musical. Verdon Manwaring gave the benediction. Grant Southam dedicated the grave. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Haws, Ralph Hodgkinson, Richard Peterson, Bart Snow, Lynn Richardson and Dave Burges. The Vernal 4th Ward Relief Society was in charge of the flowers. |
