The Cedar City Corporation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Department of Interior Regulation (A3 CFR 17), hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, without discrimination of the grounds of race, color or national origin. Proposal forms, plans and specifications are on file in the office of the City Engineer at 40 North 100 East, and the City Offices at 110 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah, where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained only at the above offices upon payment of a fee of $30.00, a portion of which will be refunded on return of same, ($10). Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier's checK for not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the Cedar City Corporation as evidence of good faith v and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract bonds as required. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received by the Cedar City Corporation, 110 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah, until 5:00 p.m., March 4, 1982, and publicly opened in the City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m., on the same date, for the construction of 11.32 miles of Water Pipe Line in Iron County, Utah. The principal items of work are the furnishing and installation of approximately 50145 linear feet of 20" diameter ductile iron water pipe, approximately 7480 linear feet of 14" diameter ductile iron water pipe, approximately 1817 linear feet of 18" diameter ductile iron water pipe and associated valves and fittings. Furnishing the materials and installation shall be on seperate bid schedules. Material Procurement is to be completed in thirty (30) calendar days or to comply with construction schedule and the installation is to be completed in two hundred (200) calendar days. In conformity with, and by authority of Title 34, Chapter 30, Utah Code Annotated 1953, the general prevailing rates are determined by the Industrial Commission of Utah, shall be effective and apply to this project, |
