Active mlembers of the Chamber Tuesday selected a number of membership cards and each of the club representatives repre-sentatives wil' be contacting local businesses to work toward to-ward a larger group of participants par-ticipants for the coming year. Cost for membership is a minimum of $40. In other buisness Betty Jacobs Ja-cobs told Chamber rcpresen-tivos rcpresen-tivos of her recent trip to Denver to attend a meeting of the Four Corners Regional Region-al Commission advisory council coun-cil on recreation, tourism and retirement. She stated that the Council had recently re-cently heard from Research Re-search Development Associates Associat-es of Los Angeles, Calif., which is conducting a survey of businesses in the four corners cor-ners area. The .survey is halfway completed, stated Mrs. Jacobs, Ja-cobs, with the completion of compilation of data on businesses busi-nesses and industry in the area at the present time. The second phase of the project will be to determine means of bringing new industry and business into the Four Corners Cor-ners region. A discussion of the Discov-rcy Discov-rcy program aired on ABC last weekend seemed to indicate in-dicate that the show was well accepted and that it was a good means of promotion for the area. A final cost of $250 was accepted by members of the Chamber. A letter was recived by the Wally Byam Caravan Club International concerning a trip here over the Memorial Day weekend. The club is planniii';; its yearly ralley in Ibis area a n d was concerned that then: would not be enough accomodations accomoda-tions for Iheir trailer houses.
