Show GRAND COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. Ill AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING ADOPT-ING A PLUMBING CODE FOR GRAND COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH The Board of Grand County Coun-ty Commissioners of Grand County. State of Utah, ordairus as follows: Section 1. Purpose of Ordinance. The purpose of this ordinance is to adopt a code relating to the plumbing of buildings within the limits of Grand County of the State of Utah, and to provide a method meth-od of administering the same. Plumbing Code. The Utah Plumbing Cde. The Utah Plumbing Code, as adopted by the Utah State Board of Health, June 18, 1969, setting forth minimum requirements for plumbing as published by the Utah State Division of 1 tealth as a code in book form is hereby approved and adopted adop-ted as the plumbing code of Grand County, State of Utah, and the same is by this reference ref-erence made a part of these ordinances to the same extent and effect as though said code were copied in full. Three copies of such code shall be filed for use and examination ex-amination by the public in the Office of the Clerk of Grand County, State of Utah, at Moab, Utah. Section 3. "Local Authority" Author-ity" Redefined. Chapter 1. relating to Definition of Terms, is arnended to redefine rede-fine "Local Authority," as referring re-ferring to this municipality, its council, and such officials as it may from time to time designate. Section 4. Plumbing Inspections. In-spections. The Building Inspector In-spector shall perform all functions fun-ctions of plumbing inspection and shall, among other things, inspect and supervise the construction, con-struction, installation and repair re-pair of all plumbing fixtures and appliances and apparatus connected with a plumbing system which are installed within the lmts of the dty and shall require that they conform to the provisions of the plumbing code. Section 5. Plumbing Permit.-). No new construction, ..-.lloratiorw or additions to existing plumbing shall be ir.-slalled ir.-slalled without first obtaining a permit therefore, except minor work of a type commonly com-monly accepted as within the capabilities of a householder. Applications for such perm its describing such work shall be made in writing and shall conform con-form as far as practicable to the requirements set forth in the building code as to information infor-mation disclosed. No permit i.t.all be issued to any applicant appli-cant for permit during the time that he shall correct any defective installations after he has been duly notified to correct such defects by the building official or his agent. Section C. Building Per-unit Per-unit fees. A fee if or each plumbing permit shall be paid V) the buildiirg official or County Clerk in such amount as shall be established from time to lime by resolution duly enacted by the Board of County Commissioners. The adr.iinistrativs and enforcement enforce-ment provisions of the Uniform Uni-form Building Code relating to building pemit fees shall be deemed to apply to plumbing plumb-ing permit fees, unless otherwise other-wise provided by resolution of the Board of County Commissioners. Com-missioners. Section 7. Penalties. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this Ordinance, Or-dinance, shall be punLshed by a fine of not more than $299.00 or not more than six (0) months in the Grand County jail or both such fine and imprisonment. im-prisonment. In addition thereto, there-to, such person may be enjoined en-joined from continuing such violation. Each day upon which such a violation occurs shall constitute a separate violation. Section 8 Conflicting Ordinances. Ordin-ances. Al! ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith here-with are hereby repealed. Section 9. This ordinance hall take effect fifteen (15j days after its passage and upon publication as required by law. Passed by the Board of County Commissioners of Grand County, State of Utah, this 24th day of February, A D. 1970, with all Commissioners Commis-sioners present and voting for the passage of the same to-wit: to-wit: Commissioner Ralph J.
