Show Work Party Scheduled at Legion Hall Members of American Legion Le-gion Por.t 54 in Moab announced an-nounced this week that 1hey were planning to conduct a cleanup project at the Legion Le-gion Hall this Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. IyCgiona'res will clean up the inside of the building and will finish outside work that was started last week, it was announced by E. L. Wilson. This is part of a general' reorganization re-organization of the Legin.i Post in Moab. Plans c T 11 for a general membership drive to recruit 200 new veterans for the rlub. Men who served in World Wars I and II as well as servicemen from the Korean conflict and Vietnam war will be asked to join. Plans now call for the abolishment of the bar pt the club and the establishment establish-ment of an organization that will be suitable for auxiliary members as well as families to meet. Rates for rent in;; the hall will be $15 for daytime day-time ,or 50 cents per person; $.15 for a weeknight occasion, and $50 per night for weekends. week-ends. The club will host a pancake pan-cake breakfast and the American Am-erican Legion Anniversary dinner and will cater the Cattlemen's annual banquet for fund raising projects during dur-ing March. Cost for a Legion sponsored party will be: St per couple for members and $2 per couple for non-Legion members. In addition to this the club will finish its cleanup campaign cam-paign and begin a membership member-ship drive. During the coming com-ing year the club plans to do some repair and remodeling remodel-ing of the hall and will repair re-pair the parking area. |
