Show Numbering Changes Approved Highway numbering changes chang-es involving the highway through Moab, have been approved, ap-proved, it was announced in . a Colorado report this week. The changes were first reported re-ported last fall, following a national highway conference in Philadelphia, and were publicized at some length in this area at the time. The final approval which has now come, will mean that the numbering of new routes will take place in the near future, and the new designations designa-tions will be published on new state road maps. District Highway Commissioner Commis-sioner Jack Howkins of Cor-tez, Cor-tez, was informed by Colorado Colo-rado Chief Highway Engineer, Engin-eer, Charles E. Shumate, that the changes would be as follows, according to a report in the Cortez Sentinel: 1. Highway 666 designation extended from Cortez northwesterly north-westerly to a junction with U-47 at Monticello where it will terminate. 2. U. S. 160 will be deleted from Cortez northwesterly to Crescent Junction, Utah. 3. U. S. 16D will extend from Cortez south and west across the Four Corners in Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona, to a junction with U. S. 89 near Tuba City, Arizona. Ari-zona. 4.
