Reverend . Emil . M. la officiated at the service. Irs. Rowell was born on just 20, 1893, in Colorado rngs, Colorado and passed ay on Feb. 19, at St. Mary's pital in Grand Junction, orado. On July 31, 1912, married W.S. They then jk a ranch, Porcupine, in ,:!e Valley where they Uved ing the summer. During winter months they moved ) Moab for the children to 'and school. Finally they yed to Moab and bought ir home. While living here I Rowell continued his min-I min-I and prospecting and Mrs. Well operated Mom's Cafe I during the construction 'the uranium mill ran a rding house that housed as py as 100 persons a day. It was during this time that Mrs. Rowell became famous as one of the best cooks in the area. Another of her accomplishments accomplish-ments was her yard which was always full of flowers and thought by many to be one of the prettiest in Moab. Yard work was one of Mrs. Rowell's favorite hobbies. She was known for her generosity and good will and her children stated that even when she was ill her thoughts were concerned with the welfare wel-fare of her family. She is survived by two sons, Ben A., Paonia, Colorado; and Dan of Boise, Idaho; four daughters, Mrs. Tarn (Delor-es) (Delor-es) Lowry; Mrs. June Johnston; John-ston; Mrs. Alive (Susie) Johnston, John-ston, all of Moab and Mrs. Kathleen Hawkins, Hotchkiss, Colorado. Two brothers also survive, H. N. . Stillwagon', Chapman, Kansas; and C. E. Stillwagon of Temple City Calif., as well as 15 grand-. grand-. children and 29 Igreat-grand-children. Pallbearers for the funeral were Mrs. "Rowell's grandsons grand-sons and grandsons-in-law, Ronald Rowell, Gail Tibbetts, Bud Mason, Clayton Stocks, Linn Lange and Joe Johnston. Honorary pall bearers were Bud Johnston and Joe Pilon Burial was in the Grand Valley Val-ley - Cemetery under the direction di-rection of. the Turner Funeral Home,. " .7:'.
