Homecoming Royalty Chosen at Grand High Winter Homecoming was held . once again this year, Feb.. 24. Nomination of- four senior candidates for queen took place last week as the basketball basket-ball players and wrestlers placed Janel McDougald, Pain pvtcFarland, 'Tonya' Scorzato ' and Charlotte Toothman i n the running. Elections were r held Monday afternoon and the results announced Tuesday Tues-day morning at the assembly. Tuesday morning, Pep Club sponsored- the last pep assembly assem-bly of the year. 'At this time senior- basketball players, wrestlers, and Pep Club members mem-bers ' were honored by - the juniors with the presentation of flowers. Coach Gene Leonard Leon-ard also presented the Region Re-gion Six South wrestling championship trophy to Principal Prin-cipal Leland . Teeples and introduced in-troduced the two wrestlers who qualified themselves for the state tournament to be held this weekend. Pre-game activities included includ-ed the presentation of honored Seniors parents, the Seniors Hhemselves and the Winter Homecoming Queen Janel McDougald. A special halftime performance perform-ance was done as this year's drill team presented the season's sea-son's final routine. |
