Show Liens Club Talent Shew Scheduled March 13-14 Members of the Moab Lions Club this week announced that their annual Talent Show would be held on March 13 and 14 with curtain time at 8 p.m. Thus far 11 acts have signed up for the program which will carry with it prizes worth $25, ' $15, and $10. 'Proceeds from the gate receipts will g toward sight conservation projects pro-jects that are sponsored annually an-nually by th Lions Club. At the present time the club is financing a cornea transplant for a local girl who otherwise would have been blind. They also provided glasses for several sev-eral youngsters in the com munity that have needed them. Jt is heped that about 20 acts may be signed up for the program with it slated to last about 2 hours. A rehearsal rehears-al will be held on Wednesday the week of the show and will be the only chance for all the groups to practice together. togeth-er. The Lions have issued a chiallenge to members of the Rotary Club to enter an act in the program that will top Jtfliat of the sponsoring club. Judges for the program will be chosen this week, it was announced by Lion Bev Spencer. |
