City works with Scouts to install garbage cans The Vernal City Public Works Department is helping Boy Scouts become Eagles by providing service projects in the city. This week Eagle Scout candidate. Lane Chapman, with his brother Curt Chapman and Stewart Jensen were busy installing 11 new garbage canisters along Main Street. According to City Building Inspector, Carl Jensen, who is also on a scout committee, there is a shortage of projects for Eagle Scouts. "Lane said he was interested in doing his project with the city so he is installing in-stalling the garbage cans," Jensen said. The city is also working with other Boy Scouts w ith Eagle Projects, Jensen said. The new garbage cans are bolted to the sidewalk along Main Street and - have a handy accessible lid.
