Show Vernal B&PW Vernal Business and Professional Women's club met at the home of DeAnn Burgon Thursday evening. Guest Lisa Reynolds told of her job in the Concentrator Mill, Chevron Resources, and how attitudes have changed. Lisa has worked at this non-traditional non-traditional job for four years. Program for the month was "Women in non-traditional Roles." Kay Gotfred-son Gotfred-son interviewed employers in the area and gave a presentation at the business meeting held at the Uintah School District office last Thursday evening from their point of view. Alice White, program chairman, read of early pioneer women in non-traditional non-traditional roles from the book "Women of America" by Ideals. Members completed the social evening playing a Bingo game using facts about Business and Professional Women's national na-tional organization as answers. High prize went to Rhoda DeVed and low prize was received by Ethel Bowden. Baklava, a Greek delicacy dessert, made by Rula Bullock, was served. |
