Show Tridcll Lorna (TIcKee Phone 247-3177 V Christina Perry marries Shayne Funk Christine Perry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Perry and Shayne Funk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al Funk, Ballard, were married Saturday night, March 13 in the Tridell Cultural Hall. Christina was honored at a bridal; shower at the home of her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Farrel Simmons the previous Tuesday. The Tridell Relief Society held their annual birthday party Friday night commemorating the 140th anniversary of the Relief Society. Past president and counselors were honored and given a corsage. A film and slides were presented. A ham dinner was served to a large group. Decorations depicting "Looking Back" over the past 140 years were used. A number of children in the ward have chicken pox and scarletina. Devin McKee, small son of Mr. Ralph McKee broke his leg Sunday when he fell. Mr. and Mrs. Stewert Sanders, Salt Lake City, spent the weekend at the Errol Merkley home. They came out to celebrate Christopher's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Natani spent a few days last week in Farmington, New Mexico. Beverly Scholes, Grand Junction, spent last week visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Simmons. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Goodrich went to Salt Lafce City March 10 to attend the funeral of Paul Lyman, a former resident of Tridell. Velora Willis, Vida McKee, DeVon and Loma McKee spent the past two weeks in Hawaii. They visited three islands, Oahu, Kauai and the big island of Hawaii. They went to Pearl Harbor, Polynesian Culture Center, toured pineapple fields, visited the Parker Ranch and volcano area, took a boat ride on the Kora Coast and went to a luau. One of their group, Verda Kit- chen, slipped and fell while at the Polynesian Cultural Center and broke her leg. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley went to Mantua March 5 to attend the wedding of a granddaughter, Joan Richards. They spent the weekend in Mantua visiting the Lynn Richard family. |
