Show RESOLUTION NO. 82-17 A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE ANNEXATION OF LAND WITHIN THE MAESER WATER IMPROVEMENT IM-PROVEMENT DISTRICT BOUNDARIES. BOUN-DARIES. WHEREAS, THE Vernal City Countil on. March 26, 1980, did adopt by ordinance and in conformance with state law a Master Growth Area and Annexation Policy Declaration which identifies the land area which Vernal City would consider for annexation upon receipt of a valid petition; and WHEREAS, Vernal's growth area limit as identified in said Growth Area Policy Declaration does not enter or contain any land presently within the Maeser Water Im-provment Im-provment Dsitrict limits; and WHEREAS, . Growth Area Policy Declarations may be amended from time to time in accordance ac-cordance with state law and after holding public hearings; NOW. THEREFORE, the Vernal City Council declares and resolves the following: 1. Vernal City intends to abide by the adopted Growth Area Policy Declaration in regard to the present boundary of the Maeser Water Improvement Im-provement District, and declares that the present City Council will not annex territory to Vernal Citv which is presently within the Maeser Water Improvement District unless approved by a majority vote of the Maeser Water Improvement Im-provement District Board of Trustees. 2. The Vernal City Council desires to cooperate with the Maeser Water Improvement Im-provement District in community development matters and in other areas of mutual concern. 3 This resolution and policy statement should periodically be jointly reviewed by the Maeser Water Improvment District Board of Trustees and the Vernal City Council so that both entities may fully understand un-derstand the annexation and boundary change intentions of the other entity regarding their area of mutual concern and interest.
