STREET PLAN shows what changes have been made at the intersection of 800 West Main. Main Street sign changed on 8th West The only yield sign on Main Street, 800 West, was changed to a stop sign today to-day following a failure of the Circuit Court to recognize a stop sign for east bound traffic at the same intersection. The yield sign for west-bound traffic was installed at the intersection several weeks ago, but because of the danger of eastbound traffic making a left turn across the intersection, the sign was changed to a stop sign. According to Vernal City officials, the signing of the intersection will prevent traffic line-up and is in accordance with traffic regulations. The island at the fork of Main Street and Highway 40 will be lengthened and widened to allow only one-way traffic until 800 West and also curtail turns to the north off of Highway 40 onto 000 West. The expansion of the islund will not take place until the next fiscal year. |
