The Weber Rod and Gun association associa-tion completed plans for tho ponds at Huntsvlllo, tho property of Jons Win-tors, Win-tors, during tho past week. Members of tho organization are back of tho hatchery move and expoct to plant more than 300,000 fish during the coming year In the ponds at tho new site. From 1915 to 1919 Utah wont to the fore In both fish and gamo progress. At least ono can got a good idea of tho progress by comparing the following follow-ing figures which have been compiled on licenses. In 1915 in Wobor county $3068.75 went to tho state for permits. per-mits. In 1910 the state obtained $2979.76, whllo tho following season 1 the mark reached was $2951.13. In 1 1918, during the war, $2S96.90 was collected. Whilp in 1919, the mark rcachod 590BS.55. tfho Interest last year was theroforo more than double that of any previous year. Jack Browning has sent to Con- nectlcut for a numbor of opossum which will bo allowed freedom near his camp at Idlewlld, In Ogden Canyon. Can-yon. Thl3 is within tho bounds of tho Mount Ogdon gamo sanctuary. The fish hatchory which will bo taken ovor by the state and which will bo under the supervision of tho Webor Rod and Gun Association will onablo the organization to keep tho streams of Weber county stocked with i first class trout. The planting will be made In April and they will be al- lowed to feed until November at 'H which time they will be turned into tho streams of Webor county.
