This church, according to reports, has about two members and thus their quota was based upon this mombershlp. F. J. Lucas, who is stato director for the Baptist church reports that after a visit to Eureka this church went over the top with their quota. It Is, perhaps, the smallest small-est church in tho state and Is lookod upon generally as ono of the mission churches of tho great Baptist denomination. denom-ination. They ahvo raised three times their quota and will perhaps make this amount four times their regular denominational quota. Neither of these churches have a regular pastor, but each has splendidly splen-didly organized Sunday schools and one of them has a mission worker. Mr. Lucas returned yesterday from Moab where $3100 was pledged to i the Interchurch World movement and J tho quota of this church was only $2,000. Mr. Lucas states that tho membership of the church are still pressing the campaign and expect to make it $5,S00 before they quit. Another of tho Baptist churches located lo-cated In Mason, Nevada, has reported that they have gone over the top In their quota. One wealthy lady having hav-ing taken the whole quota for that small church. |
