Show C. L. Grundy Seriously Hurt In Accident at Foot of 26th Street Hill Hurled from his wheel when struck by an automobile truck. C. L. Grundy, aged 21, was thrown violently to the pavement, sustaining severe contusions contu-sions on his hip and two broken rbs. The accident happoncd yesterday al Adams avenuo and Twenty sixth street, according to Thomas A. Shrccve, Juvenile court probation officor, wno witnessed the crash. He auid that L. A. Martin, driver for tho Griffin Paint company, was driving driv-ing alonf Adams avenue at u rapid rate. Grundy was riding his bicycle down Tweniy-sixth street hill, and at the Intersection, turned north. Tho two vehicles collided, the Impact crumbling the front wheel of the bicycle. bicy-cle. Grundy was thrown several feet to the pavement. The police Were notified and removed re-moved the injured man to his home, 1123 Oak street. Dr. H. E. Robinson attended the injured man. |
