Eddie Casey, former captain of Harvard's grid team and called one of tho great halfbacks of tho game, has been signed to coach tho Mount Union collcse eleven next fall which makes Mount Ulon students and grads happy and Interests many other grid fans who have been watching Casey's career. Whether he'll prove as great a star as a coach a3 ho did as a playor Casey first broke into tho football limelight at Exeter academy. Ho wasi captain of the Exeter team which won tho national preparation school title. He registered at Harvard in 1915 and : Joined tho freshman football squad. Before the season ended ho was hailed) as a star, and tho following fall, a3 a aophomoro, won a place. at half on tho 'varsity. By tho end of that season ho was startling tho college football world with his- brilliant work. Ilia career was interrupted by the war anrll ho played through tho 1017 season with the navy toam. The fall of 1918 found him on board a transport. Last fall he led Harvard through tho season undefeated. Ho was plac3d on all of tho all-Amorlcan clevons. Casey succeeds Georgo O'Brien ut Mount Union, and will bo the first Harvard man to coach an Ohio toam : since Karvoy Snyder retlrod aftor , coaching both Oberlln and Western ' Roservo with much success.
