Mrs. Herbert Seager was hostess to the members of the O. A. O. Kensington Kensing-ton last Wednesday afternoon at her Japcncsc Tea Given. Featuring among the elaborated and delightful functions of the spring season, the monthly tea given Monday afternoon and evening by the members mem-bers of Miriam chapter No. 14, Order of the Eastern Star, attracted wide attention at-tention among Ogden's society folks. The decorations were carried out in Japanese style. Large bowl3 of cherry cher-ry blossoms were arranged around the room prettily, while Japancso fans hung about the walls. Daintily colored i Japanese 'parasols and lanterns were I j suspended from the celling. The tea ma table was centered with a bowl of cherry blossoms, above which was a lacquerd parasol. A program was featured fea-tured during the afternoon, including a highly interesting talk from Mrs. ; Lucius Cary, who has served as a mis sionary in Japan for the past forty years, and who has made a thorugh 1 study of the Japanese people and their 1 customs. Mrs. N. Fukushlma, who is a graduate of the Presbyterian college ; 1 in Toklo, Japan, and her twochildron, costumed in their native dresses, ' j played Japanese games. Miss Grace I Matthews and Mrs. Fukushlma sang ' m the national Japanese anthem, which was followed by a Japanese love song by Mrs. W. C. Binford and Miss I Matthews. In the evening the mem- t'i bers were joined by the commando ry j and the program was repeated.
