Show FOIL BURGLARS LQOTINGSTORE Few Thousand Dollars Worth of Goods Piled up When Watchman Appears BOUNTIFUL, April 2-1. After an exciting Hiitomobllo chase from Bountiful Boun-tiful to St. Joseph early this morn-ills', morn-ills', two burglars who were surprised while looting the J. C. Penny store I here, slipped the pursuing: officers and made their getaway. They abandoned the smai't car in which they were riding and disappeared into the darkness. Tho men were surprised at work in tho store at 2 o'clock this morning by W. A. Fisher, night watchman, j Fisher entered the store after hearing a noise and was suddenly confronted i by the men in the darkness. Guns cre thrust agalimt hits side and he was compelled to keep silent under threat of death. While the men were holding Fisher Fish-er in the store. Night Watchman J. H. Lawson entered and shouted an alarm.. The burglars started toward the rear of the store with Fisher anu called out that the would shoot him if .Luwsoii fired at them. The men ! jumped inio an automobile and fled from the town with the officers in pursuit in another car. A chase then took piace to St. Joseph, but the men ; jumped from their car in the darkness j and disappeared.
