Show EPA Sewer funds saved ! for Valley in 1 1th hour It went down to the eleventh hour, but that fact withstanding, Ashley Valley is going to have a valley-wide sewer system, according to a wire sent to Vernal Ver-nal City this week by Environmental Protection Agency representative Jim Brooks. The wire officially gave notice to Vernal Ver-nal City, Maeser Water Improvement District and Ashley Valley Water and Sewer District that they had been granted nearly $5 million to go toward the construction of a valley-wide sewer system and treatment and disposal plant. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $7.2 million with about $24 million being generated locally. The approval of the EPA grant centered around the three entities agreeing to enter into the project together. And that hinged upon the three entities entering into an agreement agree-ment for the establishment of a valley-wide valley-wide water system-something that has eluded them for several years.
