Show November travel up at Dinosaur Travel figures at Dinosaur National Monument were up in November for the second straight month. This news, reversing a previous 12 month trend, was released today by park Superintendent, Superin-tendent, Joe L. Kennedy. November travel was 5.400, up 27 percent over the 1978 figure. "These increases for the last two months, though encouraging," said Kennedy, Ken-nedy, "will make little dent in the overall decline for the year." Travel for the first eleven months of 1979 was 309,000 compared to 1978's figure of 395,000 a decline of 28 percent. Kennedy attributes the increases to the mild early "winter" weather as compared to snow and cold experienced ex-perienced last year at this time. Kennedy, who recently arrived from the "Banana Belt" at Page, Arizona, said he hopes the "mild" weather will continue. |
