Show ? it - v I i CHARLEY MYNARD BOWDEN Services honor Bovvden Saturday Funeral services for Charley Mynard Bowden were Saturday, Dec. 22 in the Ninth Ward Chapel. Bishop Roland Hein conducted and a family prayer was offered by Lloyd Clark. Maurean Johnson was in charge of the prelude and postlude music and the invocation was offered by Odell Foote. "These Hands" was performed by Duane Hall, and remarks were given by Bishop Hein. Reed Hansen accompanied accom-panied by Laura Hacking sang "Silver Haired Daddy of Mine," after which Nathan Jones spoke. "In the Garden" performed by Gaila Holmes and Diane Cothorpe, and the benediction by Earl Gurr concluded the services. The Vernal Ver-nal Ninth Ward was in charge of the flowers. Bowden died at his home in Vernal Dec. 19 due to cardiac failure. He was born April 10, 1904 in Argyle, (Rich County) Ut. to Heber W. Bowden and Mary Amanda Jacobson. He married Wanda Rose Bassett April 8, 1935 in Paris, Id. Bowden worked as a miner and electrician elec-trician for American Gilsonite and was a member of the Vernal Ninth Ward. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. George (Rose) Murray, Jensen, Ut., Mrs. David (Donna) Thompson, Wesley, Cal., Mrs. J. Duane (Mary Lou-Boren, Vernal. Mrs. Coleen-Kemplon. Coleen-Kemplon. Vernal, Mrs. Clint (Lila) Gooclellow- Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren; grand-children; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Chnton of Altonah, Ut., and Oliver of Salt Lake City, and two sisters Mrs. Lee (Theresa) Anderson, American Fork, Mrs. Warren (Amanda) (Aman-da) Foote, Granger, Ut. Pallbearers at the funeral were Duane Boren, Robert Murray, George Murray, David Thompson, Dale Kemp-ton, Kemp-ton, and Jimmy Boren. Honorary pallbearers were Lucky Madsen, David Thomspon, and Shawn Madsen. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park and Junior Tidwell dedicated the grave. |
