Show Kamas clips Cofer in basketball action Kamas Valley's Dave and Brian Woolstenhulme combined for more than half the team's point total Tuesday night in the Men's Basketball League, pacing the Kamas steamroller to a 70-42 cuffing of Cofer Chiropractic. It was the team's sixth straight win of the year without a loss. The Woolstenhulme brothers scored scor-ed 23 points apiece in Kamas' most convincing victory of the year. Bill Peterson added 15 points to the winning cause. Cofer, now 2-4 on the year, was led by Dave Scheinblum's 12 points. In other league action, the Park City Recreation Department main- tained a share of second place with a 47-45 come-from-behind victory over Texas Reds. The Rec Department trailed at the half, 25-22, but behind Dave McKinzie's game-high 18 points, they pulled out the nailbiter to improve their season mark to 4-2. The Reds, now 3-3, were led by Chris Uttech's 12-point effort. Rick Miller exploded for 32 points to lead The Alamo to a hard-fought 58-52 victory over the stubborn Yarrow quintet. The win keeps The Alamo in a tie for second place with the Rec Department, while Yarrow, 0-6, is still looking for its first triumph. Dennis Hulbert scored 18 points for Yarrow. 1 |
