Show Dognapping is only wrinkle in routine week This week traffic accidents were down and so were ski thefts, said Park City Police Chief Frank Bell. "It was a very routine week," he said. But the otherwise dull blotter was marred by an apparent dognapping on Park Avenue Feb. 25. Pogo Robert Vance reported his registered golden retriever was taken off his rope behind the Cattle Company. On Feb. 24 a burglary took place at Wyoming Woolens on Main Street. An unknown suspect appeared to have broken the front window to gain access to a fur coat valued at $7,500. On Feb. 23 a 26-year-old male was arrested on Main Street for DUI and driving with a revoked license. Also on that day the theft of a two-way radio valued at $1,000 was reported at the Aspenwood Condominiums Condo-miniums in Park City. On Feb. 22 Resa Sandoz of Abbeville, Louisiana reported the theft of $450 from her room at Stein Eriksen Lodge. Earlier in the week police officers responded to several minor traffic accidents, two noise complaints, a small iiic in the restroom at the Down Under Club and reports of sleigh riders on Main Street. The sledders, however, were gone when the police arrived. On Feb. 19 Blake Hobson of 3045 Ridgeview reported the theft of a VCR, a satellite receiver and a sound system. In all, during the week there were three reported ski thefts. Fifth Circuit Court The Fifth Circuit Court now will convene on Wednesdays instead of Fridays. |
