Show Alternate school calendar proposed In response to concerns about a propohcd calendar for the 19H5-86 school year, the school district has released an alternative proposal. Both proposals call for a school year starting date on Sept. 3. 1985, after Labor Day weekend. The difference lies in the closing date. The first option calls for an extended spring vacation, three teacher workdays, which would result in long weekends for the students, and a closing date of June 13. The second alternative includes a shorter spring break and eliminates the teacher work days. According to the second option, students would be released for the summer on June 6. The complete alternatives are posted for public input at the school district olfices at the Treasure Mountain Middle School. The Hoard of Education is expected to selected one of them at its meeting on March 12. |
