Show MngM Mhnne The Rusty Nail delivers more blues The Rusty Nail at the Park City Ski Area is leading a blues revival by bringing in some of the all-time great blues artists. This week, harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite will remind audiences what it's like to sing the blues. The Cowboy Bar The country rock band EIEIO will set a foot-stomping beat on the Cowboy Bar dance floor Thursday through Saturday beginning each evening at 9 p.m. On Monday night the bandstand will be turned over to Dr. Bop and KPCW's Annual Air Band Contest mania. Prospective air band contestants should pre-register by calling KPCW at 649-9004. Down Under Folk singer Kat James plays at the Down Under Club at the Claim-jumper Claim-jumper Hotel Wednesday through Saturday evenings. On Sunday, the musical mood changes from folk to bluegrass with country singer Dusty Michael. He plays through Tuesday. Grub Steak Vocalist Jan Sanford lends a contemporary musical backdrop to the Grub Steak Restaurant Thursday through Sunday evening. On Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Eric and Casey step in with more easy-listening dinner music. The Rusty Nail One of the original bluesmen, Charlie Musselwhite will be at the Rusty Nail at the Park City Ski Area Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. The first set starts at 9 p.m. Ryan's Park City's local musicians gather at Ryan's on Main Street every Thursday night. Locals Jam Night starts at 9 p.m. and newcomers are welcome to join in. Sneakers Classical guitarist Kelly Wright plays at Sneakers from 7 to 9 :30 p.m. Friday and Saturday evening. Stein Eriksen Lodge Contemporary piano music by Harry Black and Kate McCutchan fills the main lobby at Stein Eriksen Lodge from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and from 8 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Tokyo Joe's Buddy Marion is in the lead musician's seat at the piano bar at Tokyo Joe's restaurant at the Park Hotel. Marion plays folk and show tunes every evening from 7 p.m. to closing. |
