Show 1 Mil DAN BATTY Dan Batty to celebrate 80th birthday An open house to honor Dan Batty on his 80th birthday anniversary will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Wardle, 796 So. 1500 West, Vernal, on June 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. Mr. Batty was born June 6, 1900, in Vernal to Miles Marquis and Permelia Emily Bigelow Batty. He grew up and attended school in Vernal. He then lived in Wallsburg, Utah where he bought a farm and worked as a carpenter at the Geneva Steel Plant. He returned to Vernal in 1945, bought a ranch and continued farming. He was also part owner of the Ashley Valley Market. He married Bessie Ford, who passed away in 1967. Bessie and Dan were the parents of five children: Vern, Rex, Neal, Mrs. Don (Marie) Wardle, and Mrs. Karl (Nola) Kendall all of Vernal. He is now married to the former Vonda Bigelow and they have made their home in Vernal. All relatives and friends are invited to attend. No gifts please. |
