Show Heist families wanted for Mexican students Here is a small first step toward a better world understanding, and perhaps a big step for individuals and their families. The International Student Exchange Program directed by the Rev. Placid Reitmeire, OSB, of Mexico City, Mexico, is seeking host families for Mexican students between the ages of 12 to 16, who will arrive in Utah June 25 for a two month stay. The purpose of the program is to acquaint American and Mexican youth with each others' culture and to strengthen international understanding through our young leaders of tomorrow. A family interested in hosting should have child of the same sex and about the same age as the exchange student. The host family, which may be of any religious faith, provides room, board and family love for its Mexican guest. Such exchange experience goes directly to the heart of foreign lives and culture. It is a sign to our Latin neighbors neigh-bors and to the world of the love and care that lives in the family of God. No fees are required and there is no obligation. Interested persons can call collect Gloria Rytting at 1-484-1736 or Carma Hunsaker 789-1797 in Vernal for further information. |
