Show Police have suspects in Tuesday's burglary and theft Vernal City Police reported a burglary and till tap Tuesday night which have lead detectives to believe that the same persons were involved in both cases. Sometime Tuesday night a burglar entered the southeast window of Lynn's Texeco, 199 West Main, pryed open a lock In the back storage area and took $192.40. Also taken was $25 in loose change, reported Acting Police Chief Robert Downard. Between 9:30 and 10 p.m. the same night, $50 was taken from the till at the Save More Service Staion, 850 West Main. According to Detective Lance there were two eye witnesses to the till tap, and one of the suspects previously worked at Lynn's Texnco. Because of the sequence of events in the Texaco burglary, police believe the burglary was by the same person involved in the till tap. Officers ore in the process of locating the suspects, Downard said. |
