Condie William A. and Cora Condie, long time residents of Cedar City, who have been living in St.'Oeorgo for the past year while working in tin? temple, have been called to serve a mission for I ho Church of Jos-Us Jos-Us Christ of I.alter-day Saints. Called for ill." St. George 6th Ward of Hie St. George Kast Slake, Mr. and Mrs. Condie will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on June 2S, and will loav.-? July 3 to labor in the Gulf States Mission with headquarters at Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Condie retired from service ser-vice at the Cedar City Post Of-fice Of-fice thr.'e years ago, after 3(i years of continuous service. He and Mrs. Condie have been working in the temple for the past year and thro.? months. Before leaving for St. George Mr. Condie served in many capacities in the church in Ce. dar City including a member of the Fourth Ward Bishopric, in the Stake and Ward Sunday School Superintendencies, and the presidencies of two Elder's Eld-er's Quorums. He also served as Ward Clerk in the Cedar Sixth Ward, and secretary of the High Priests. Mrs, Condie, particularly active in music, participated with both ward and stake Singing Mothers groups. She also served as Primary president. presi-dent. At present she is serving in the Relief Society Presidency Presi-dency in St. George, and is part time organist at the St. George temple. |
