Show Freak accident claims life of Grant Larson A freak accident at the crushing plant of Young Construction Con-struction Company near Hamilton's Ham-ilton's Fort snuffed out the life of a 42-year-old Cedar City man Tuesday morning. The victim of the accident was Grant R. Larson, a resident resi-dent of the Jensen Trailer Park and an employee of Atlas Electric Co. of Cedar City. Larson was on the site to do electrical repairs and was killed when a' boulder was jarred loose from the mountain moun-tain above and tolled down to crush Larson where he was working. j The boulder was dislodged from above the work area by a grader pushing material into in-to the grader. The boulder, however, was not above the area but took almost a "freak" path to the area and then went ' right between two pieces of equipment - either one would have stopped it - to hit Larson. The boulder was 16 feet in circumference and about four feet high. Funeral services for Larson will be held Friday, June 20 at 1 p.m. in the Elsinore LDS Ward Church. Friends may can this evening, Thursday, at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield and Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services. He was born April 6, 1927 in Elsinore to Grant W. and Christie Hermansen Larson, i He married Elverda Harding! Sept. 16, 1947 in Richfield. Larson was a member of the LDS Church, a Navy veteran of World War II. j Survivors include his wife, and daughters Mrs. Alan (Roberta) (Ro-berta) Blake, and Annette, all of Cedar City and the following follow-ing sisters: Mrs. Dewaino (Braunda) Washburn, Monroe; Mrs. McRay (Marius) Cloward, Cedar City; Mrs. Ha (Geniel) Bradley, Richfield; Mrs. Mel (Saundra) Johnson, Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Ncv. and his parents, Elsinore.
