Show Funeral rites honor memory of Michael A. Vilk Funeral services for Michael Anthony Vilk, Parowan resident, resi-dent, who died Sunday were held Wednesday, June 11 at 2 p. m. The' services were held in the First-Second Ward chapel with Bishop Bruce D. Matheson of the First Ward conducting and Mrs. June M. Decker at the organ for prelude pre-lude and postlude music. Mrs. A. C. Hatch read an eulogy eu-logy of the deceased, and Pres. Howard D. Knight was the speaker, with Bishop Matheson Ma-theson giving closing remarks. Family prayer was. by Vern C. Mortensen and R. Taylor Miller gave the invocation. Benediction was by Amos C Hatch and the grave, in the Parowan City cemetery, was dedicated by Clifton Taylor. Musical numbers were vocal vo-cal solos, one "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine" by Karl O. Mitchell with Berta Winter as accompanist, and "Goin' Home" by Howard D. Knight with Christine Knight as accompanist. Pallbearers were Jos. Becker, Paul, George, Manuel and Victor Dostalek, and James Decho. The First Ward Relief Society had charge of the floral flor-al arrangements. |
