MICHAEL CARTER St. George LDS Temple rites unite Linda Thompson, Michael Carter tary Education after one more quarter. She was affiliated with the Pi Rho sorority, and the Pi Rho song was sung at the reception, by her sorority sisters. The bridegroom graduated from Cedar High School and from College of Southern Utah with a major in math. After graduating in 1967 he has taught the past two years at Kearns High School. He has filled a Spanish - American Mission for the LDS Church. LDS Temple rites united Miss Linda Thompson and Michael Mi-chael K. Carter in marriage June 5. The double ring ceremony cere-mony was officiated by President Presi-dent Rudger Atkin in the St. George Temple. Both young people are natives na-tives of Cedar City. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ralph Thompson, the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Carter. That evening the newlyweds were honored at a reception at the 7th Ward Cultural Hall. The bride wore a gown of heavy white silk featuring a lot of lace, a slightly A line skirt and a long train. It was trimmed with pearl beads. Her finger-tip veil was scalloped and trimmed with pearls. It was attached to a double crown. She carried a bouquet of tiny white roses. Matron of Honor was Mrs. Bonnie Zole. The other attendants at-tendants were Miss Sharon Wood, Mrs. Roma Knight, Mrs. Charlotte Grimshaw, and the Misses Janice and Susan Thompson. Flower girls were the Misses Kathy and Dee Ann Thompson. They all wore pink, floor length dresses and carried car-ried baskets of pink glame-lias. glame-lias. Best man was Spencer Jones. Therning, a grandmother of the bridegroom, bride-groom, of Salt Lake City, was in attendance at the wedding reception. The bride graduated from Cedar High School and attended attend-ed College of Southern Utah. She will graduate in Elemen- |
