Show Boi'ary Clubs Hold Annual Youth Meeting Friday Noon 'The Annual Youth Meeting, which "Is celebrated throughout the world by Rotary, was held last week by St. George Rotarians and their youth guests at the Arrowhead hotel dining room. The program was in the hands of the Youth ' committee with Walter Cannon .-as chairman. .Each year the Rotarians set aside one week in which they honor the youth of the world. As part of what program they make a practice of bringing One or jmore youths with them to a program pro-gram especially planned for their benefit. Believing that youths learn through participation, the entire entertainment was turned over to tbem. Featured on the program were Dick Nelson, who discussed the British form of government, 'giving 'giv-ing a brief review of its founding and the various changes made. Corinne Esplin then gave the same type of a discussion of the United States and its government and Paul Thompson followed this with a discussion of citizenship and the place that youth should take In the community, state and nation. na-tion. Musical numbers were provided by Lawrence Reichman and Gregg Snow, who played a clarinet duet; Beverly Moody, who played a piano solo and Junior Larkin who sang. Miss Ruth Falck was the accompanist. The musical program pro-gram was under the direction of Earl J. Bleak. Tlie Rotarians expressed their appreciation for the program provided pro-vided by these youths. |
