Show V. Langston Wins Hurricane Student Body Election As Black Horse of Campaign HURRICANE, Utah. The 1941-42 student body officers were elected Wednesday, April 23, after a week of campaigning. The black horse candidate, Verl Langston, won as student body president. The defeated de-feated candidates of the Red and Black parties were Mace Graff and Fenton Hirschi. The defeated de-feated candidates for these offices were Dorothy Webb, secretary; Florine Tweedie, editor; and La-Donna La-Donna Stevens, cheer leader. At the 1941 election, a H. H. S. constitution was presented to the student body for their approval, and was accepted by them. This constitution defined the procedure that each student body election should follow and specified the duties of each officer. It is a general gen-eral governing document for the -"chool. |
