"If It Goes in a Building, WE SELL IT" 'u 1 QUESTIONS I I STILL UNANSWERED j I The citizens of St. George have been subjected to a barrage of unsigned misstatements of facts, ; but to date the following questions have n o t been : answered by anyone: ; (1) What proof have we that the present Bletzacker-Burton proposal will provide adequate service for all the people all the time? (2) Why did the City Council hire an engineer with the promise of 5 for a favorable report? (3) What proof have we that our power rates will be reduced? re-duced? (4) Why were the bonds not submitted to competitive bid- (5) Why is it proposed to place the diesel plant in the center cen-ter of the residential district?. (6) We are given a list of cities that own their own power plants, stating that they have made profits. Will someone tell us what kind of service is maintained in these cities and the rates charged? (7) Why have there been three changes made in the estimated esti-mated number of K.W. necessary and in the estimated cost? 1 (8) Why did the City Council refuse to act on a Petition of 1 454 citizens asking for further investigation? (9) Why does not the Sponsors Committee retract their misstatement mis-statement of fact in telling the people that their vote on May 6 is a decision between the fifteen-year franchise to the Southern Utah Power Co., and a municipally owned power plant? Members of the committee have admitted it privately; why don't they admit it publicly? I (10) Will someone tell us a town using its culinary water for I the operation of a hydro-electric plant, and if so the results of such operation? ' In spite of our statements to the contrary someone, who is .ashamed to sign his name, still continues to accuse this committee of being a committee of the Southern Utah Power Company. We challenge them to produce the proof.
