There can be no ; 2 half-way measures. When the Bletzacker plants are found to be too small, another plant : 2 must be built. That means a new bond issue to raise more money. They may call it a Re- : 2 funding Issue but it represents new debt just the same. 2 We have claimed that the Bletzacker proposal was not based on actual load and r jj water measurements made by the engineer. THIS HAS NOT BEEN DENIED! ; - We have claimed that there are no plans and specifications for the Bletzacker plants ; 2 in City files. THIS HAS NOT BEEN DENTED! 2 ' We have claimed that there are no bids from responsible bidders to show that the 2 Bletzacker plants can be built for $300,000. NO SUCH BIDS HAVE BEEN MADE PUBLIC. : 2 We expect the promoters to announce plans, specifications and bids at the last 2 moment when there will be no time to check them. We are sure, however, that St. George 2 voters will not accept any last minute claims that cannot withstand close inspection. j; 1 City Records Prove Inadequate Investigation 2 City records and booklets themselves are the best proof that further investigation is 2 vitally necessary before ORDERING the City to issue $300,000 of bonds. These records 7-2 7-2 show: - That only $450.00 has been spent for engineering the $300,000 Bletzacked plant or I 1 less than 210 of 1. : . That the diesel plant size has been radically changed three times in about four '? months. ; Z That the estimate of plant earnings has been radically changed three times in about '? Z four months. The estimates of one year's revenue have varied over $110,000. "v " 2 r j- AND NOW IT IS ADMITTED THAT SUCH VITAL ITEMS AS Z . DIESEL PLANT CAPACITY AND ENGINE SIZES HAVE NOT YET i BEEN DETERMINED! We quote from the new City booklet: " "Summary of Equipment Anticipated : j 9. A maximum of 800 KW at 80 power factor diesel engine " r generating plant (size of engines to be determined after bids are re- ' " r ceived, efficiences and ratings properly analyzed)" " m 1 TO THE PEOPLE OF ST. GEORGE: J - r 2 During the past few days there has been a flood of unsigned (. 2 handouts which have been full of misleading propaganda against our ?n 2 company. The writer, or writers, of these handouts have not been proud fks 2 of their statements. They have not dared sign them and thus assume 1 3 2, responsibility for their truthfulness. cjweefl We have signed every bit of printed information we have released. yinter- Z The Promoters of the Bletzacker Deal would like nothing better than to j bft j discredit us. Yet, no one has denied the truthfulness of any statement pp , j we have made, including the printed facts about the similar Bletzacker 4 proposal at Morgan City, Utah. irf 2 We know that St. George voters will wisely ignore aU unsigned r'fy statements about this vital bond issue proposal.
