Show Diesel class being taught The Employment and Training Office is recruiting dislocated workers for heavy equipment-dicsel equipment-dicsel mechanic training. The diesel training is provided by the United Auto Workers (UAW) Advanced Automotive Training Program and takes approximately 700 hours (six months) to complete. com-plete. Course will cover general safety, basic diesel engine design, major engine repair operations, fuel and electrical systems, suspensions, and other miscellaneous components. compo-nents. Job search assistance will be provided upon completion. The Employment and Training Office will cover costs for tuition, books, tools, and other related costs. Training slots are limited and will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
