Show Deseret Federal announces appointments of officers with executive responsibilities over accounting, portfolio management, investments, ancTall other financial related areas of the company. A native na-tive of Moroni, Mr. Blackham comes com-es to Deseret Federal with 14 years public accounting and financial services ser-vices related experience, most recently re-cently serving as financial vice president of Rainier Bank in Portland, Port-land, Ore. Mr. Blackham attained his bachelor of science degree in business management from Brigham Young University and masters in accounting from Utah State University. Also joining Deseret Federal, as vice president and general counsel, is Keith B. Sorensen. Mr. Soren- sen, a current member of the Utah State Bar Association, will oversee all legal aspects of the company, as well as direct the disposition of the commercial real estate portfolio. Mr. Sorensen earned a bachelor of science degree in finance and real estate from the University of Southern California and the Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Utah. He recently completed a two-year term as International President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, Frater-nity, and is past chairman of the Utah Council on Housing and Land Use, and Legislative and Taxation Committee of the Utah Association of Real Estate Boards. SALT LAKE CITY Gordon D. Walker, president and CEO of Deseret Federal Savings and Loan, today announced the appointment of three new vice presidents to key mortgage banking, finance and legal leg-al positions within the Association. To the position of vice president of the Association's Mortgage" Banking Division, Mr. Walker has appointed David Wall. Mr. Wall, former vice president of Crossland Savings, will direct the loan origination, origi-nation, loan servicing, and secondary secon-dary marketing functions of the company. His charge, states Mr. Walker, will be to significantly reduce re-duce the time normally required for loan processing and approval on mortgage loans. Mr. Wall brings with him valuable valu-able expertise in FHA, VA, construction con-struction and conventional fixed rate lending, as well as newer, more sophisticated adjustable loan programs prog-rams to provide Utah borrowers with loans tailored to their specific " needs. A native Utahn, Mr. Wall received an associate of science degree de-gree and bachelor of science degree from the College of Eastern Utah and University of Utah respectively, respective-ly, prior to beginning his lending career.
