Show Do something worthwhile: fight drugs Claim the best prize that life offers by accomplishing work worth doing preventing drug and alcohol abuse in families. Theodore Roosevelt said, "The best prize life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." Families in Focus volunteers are being instructed to do precisely that. The Families Fami-lies in Focus program is offering a skills training seminar for those interested in preventing drug and alcohol abuse in high-risk high-risk families. The training will be geared for active participation to build skills quickly, which will help volunteers to effectively interact with families. Volunteers will also acquire knowledge concerning the family dynamics of alcohol and drug abuse. Each participant will be given full support and guidance, along with educational materials. mate-rials. The two-day training will be conducted by Robert Bos-well, Bos-well, associate director of The Cottage Program, Int'l. and Dr. Thomas Lee, Specialist, Department of Family Human Growth and Development of Utah State University. The volunteer skills training will be held Friday, Oct. 23 from 7-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
