Show Paul White Paul White is a candidate for the Farmington City Council. "Farmington city faces many challenges in the next four years.' As a candidate for city council I feel that the experience I have had over the past four years should help." . Farmington is a rapidly growing community. We have had an increase in-crease in population, a growth with new business, and increases on demand de-mand for public services. With an increase of building and growth, the city council and planning plan-ning commission have worked "Tiard on a new master plan and zoning zon-ing ordinances. We need to continue con-tinue to push for strong zoning ordinances and strong commitment commit-ment to the city's master plan. The essential services of the city need to be increased with the adde ' growth. Police and fire protection pro-tection need to meet the growth. Through my term on the city council coun-cil I have worked hare for public safety. The continued r bli . safety of the citizens and busii.ar,es is a constant concern. Farmington citizens are concerned con-cerned about many other areas. And as a city councilman I feel I have always been open to the citizei ., and also feel that as a councilman I have voted the needs of the city with the concerns of the citizens in mind. The Davis County jail is a concern con-cern of the citizens at this present time. As a city councilman I believe be-lieve the decision to build the jail has never been a decision that the Farmington City Council has had any control over. That decision has always been the decision of the Davis County Commissioners. Farmington City Council has always al-ways believed that when the jail is built we need to look also for the concerns of the city. To make sure that the jail will conform to the city ordinances and will adhere to those standards that are expressed in our master plan and zoning ordinances. ordi-nances. Farmington needs to continue a plan that was started four years ago in our excellence in city government. govern-ment. As a candidate for the office of city council I would continue to move toward that excellence. |
