Show 'Cats' call local actors Four Davis County young people peo-ple - a senior from Viewmont High and graduates of Viewmont, Bountiful Boun-tiful and Layton High School - are performing in the final two performances per-formances of the smash musical "Cats" at Salt Lake Repertory Theatre. The final two stage productions will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Salt Lake City's Symphony Hall. The only high school performer in the cast is Lisa Michelle Rod-gers, Rod-gers, a senior at Viewmont High. She has been active in theatre at VHS and in summer productions of Promised Valley Playhouse. At Viewmont, she was in the ensemble ensem-ble for "Camelot," played Jeannie in "Brigadoon," and starred as Olga Katrina, the Grand Duchess, in "You Can't Take It With You." Also performing in "Cats" are Douglas R. Davis, of Bountiful, a graduate of Viewmont; Kathryn W. Stagg, who attended Layton High; and Cliff Cole, a graduate of Bountiful High. Douglas played the title role in "Robin Hood" and the Scarecrow in "Wizard of Or." Kathryn was in the Lagoon's production, "Music USA" and at Layton High she had the lead role in "Guys and Dolls.". Cliff was Young Scrooge and sang the lead in "Promised Valley." He was also a soloist with Utah Youth Symphony and was invovled in the University of Utah Opera Theatre. |
